About Us

Project & Construction Management Concepts Pty Ltd (PCMConcepts) offers a professional Property Inspection Service undertaken by a Registered Builder, Engineer and Project Manager with over 30 years’ experience. The company commenced operations in 2002 as a building company in the Northern Territory; constructing single dwellings, multistorey dwellings, extensions and renovations. In 2005 PCMConcepts relocated to Western Australia (our home town) and recommenced operations. We have been going strong and servicing the Western Austalian Community ever since.

The manager of the company has been the Nominee (ie the builder behind other companies) for a number of large constructions, single dwellings, extensions, refurbishments and fitouts. He has also undertaken some commercial/light industrial style developments. Since 2007 the company has been providing advice to WA and National clients (including at the State Administrative Tribunal) on building matters.

PCMConcepts holds Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public/Products Liability. The manager is a Registered Building Practitioner, project manager an engineer. At times PCMConcepts uses other professionals to undertake inspections and assist with reporting. Each of these people have their Construction Induction White Card and are specialists in their own fields (ie architecture, building or engineering).

Unlike other building inspectors who are not qualified, people within PCMConcepts have the necessary qualifications to undertake all manner of assessments. The manager of PCMConcpets is a member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA -https://hia.com.au/) as well as being a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM -https://www.aipm.com.au/home), Project Management Institute (PMI - www.pmi.org/) and the Australian Institute of Building (AIB - https://www.aib.org.au/). For many years he sat on the National Board of AIPM and sat as a specialist member for the Government's Contractor Accreditation Limited (CAL) in the Northern Territory. CAL was responsible for assessing companies in their bid to become builders in the Northern Territory before the requirement for registration was introduced.

The reports generated by PCMConcepts are the most comprehensive and professional of their type in Western Australia. They are written to Australian Standards and cite references as to why items found are defects. They contain plenty of photographs and explanations that leave the reader with a clear picture of what is required. Our reports are so professional, that they have been used as evidence in the State Administrative Tribunal on a number of occasions.
